What is the Autowatch Ghost-II?
The Autowatch Ghost is an immobiliser device which protects your car from keyless entry theft, ultimately halting a car being driven away mid-theft.
The Autowatch Ghost-II Immobiliser allows you to set a unique sequence (which you choose) using buttons in your vehicle to create a passcode to start the vehicle. This sequence needs to be completed each time the car is started. This is your own unique code which is also changable. Each time you input the disarm sequence, once the Ghost has accepted your sequence input, the dashboard will flash a series of lights (for example, hazard lights flashing twice) to let you know that the Ghost is disarmed & the vehicle can be started.
If the disarm sequence is not inputted, or it is inputted incorrectly, no lights will flash on your dashboard. If you still attempt to start the vehicle in these circumstances, one of two things will happen;
1. If you have your Ghost set to the gearbox, the vehicle will start, but the second it's put into gear the vehicle will simply shut-off. The Ghost will then activate a "Lock" mode for 5 minutes, in which the vehicle can not be started even with the sequence. This will pressure the thief to leave as each second they sit waiting is another second they can be caught. This is a great option for those who may have distinctively loud cars, as the car starting up briefly could allow you to hear it, making you aware of the potential car theft.
2. If you have your Ghost set to the engine, the vehicle will not start under any circumstances. The Ghost will then activate a "Lock" mode for 5 minutes, in which the vehicle can not be started even with the sequence. This is a great option for those who do not park outside of their home, as they can sleep in peace knowing their vehicle can not be started under any circumstances.
Does the Ghost reduce insurance premiums?
The new TASSA approved Autowatch Ghost 2 Immobiliser systems also include a special vehicle marking system used by insurance companies across Europe linking it to the International Security Register. What does this mean? In a nutshell - if you declare this on your insurance, you should see a reduction in your premium!

Service/Valet mode

With the Ghost, you are able to completely disarm the immobiliser as if the car doesn't have it. By doing this, you can drop the car off to the garage/car wash & they can freely start it without knowing your disarm sequence.

Emergency code
Forgot your password? Don't worry. When we install your Ghost, we give you a card with an emergency code on it, this is unique to your car only. This will allow you to get the vehicle started & even reset your code if required. Be sure to keep this card safe, or even keep a picture of it in your mobile phone - you never know when you'll need it!

No radio frequency
One disadvantage to many tracking/immobiliser solutions on the market is that they emit a radio frequency. This allows a car theif the scan through the car with a frequency device, locate the tracker/immobiliser and remove it. The Ghost emits ZERO radio frequencies, making it untracable.
